Apple TV
tvOS 14+ · All Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD models
The easiest way to get started. Supports Xtream Codes API login — enter your username, password, and server URL and channels load automatically.
RecommendedMore advanced option with extensive format support. Great for Apple TV power users. One-time purchase, no subscription.
Clean, minimal interface designed with Apple TV in mind. Loads M3U playlists and works well with the Siri Remote.
On your Apple TV, open the App Store, search for IPTV Smarters Pro, then tap Get to download for free.
Open the app and tap Add New User. When prompted for login type, choose "Login with Xtream Codes API".
Fill in the three fields using the details from your welcome email: Username, Password, and Server URL. Give the profile any name you like (e.g. TheStreamPlug).
Tap Save / Add User. The app fetches your channel list automatically — this takes 10–30 seconds on first load. You're ready to stream.
Search GSE Smart IPTV in the App Store on your Apple TV. Tap Buy ($2.99 one-time — no recurring charge).
Launch the app and navigate to Remote Playlists in the sidebar menu, then tap the + button.
Enter a playlist name (e.g. TheStreamPlug) and paste the M3U URL from your welcome email into the URL field.
Tap Add, then select your new playlist from the list. GSE will parse the channel list and sort them into categories.
Tips for best Apple TV performance
Use wired ethernet. An Apple TV Ethernet Adapter (USB-C to Ethernet) removes Wi-Fi variability entirely — strongly recommended for 4K streams.
AirPlay fallback. If you ever need a quick workaround, open the stream on your iPhone or iPad and AirPlay it to the Apple TV — works instantly.
Buffering? Lower the video quality inside the app's settings (look for "Quality" or "Max Bitrate"). A 1080p stream uses far less bandwidth than 4K.
Snappier navigation. Go to Settings → Accessibility → Motion on your Apple TV and enable Reduce Motion for a faster UI feel.
iPhone
iOS 14+ · All modern iPhone models
The same apps work great on iPhone. IPTV Smarters Pro is the fastest way to get going — it's free, takes about two minutes to set up, and the mobile interface is clean and easy to navigate.
Free, reliable, and easy. Works with Xtream Codes — no M3U URL needed, just username and password.
RecommendedFeature-rich player with EPG support. Good if you want a more detailed programme guide on mobile.
Search IPTV Smarters Pro on your iPhone, tap Get, and install. The app is free.
Open the app, tap Add User, and select "Login with Xtream Codes API".
Type in the Username, Password, and Server URL from your welcome email. Tap Add User.
Channels and VOD load automatically. Browse Live TV, Movies, or Series from the bottom navigation bar.
iPad
iPadOS 14+ · All iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad Pro models
Every app listed above is a universal iOS/iPadOS app. Follow the exact same steps as the iPhone guide — the iPad interface is the same, just larger. IPTV Smarters Pro and GSE Smart IPTV both adapt nicely to the bigger screen with split-view channel browsing.
AirPlay to Apple TV. On iPad, tap the AirPlay icon while a channel is playing to mirror to your Apple TV — great as a quick workaround if the TV app needs reinstalling.
Wi-Fi is usually fine on iPad. Unlike a TV box, tablets are used at close range. Still, connecting to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi band (not 2.4 GHz) reduces buffering noticeably.
App availability on the iOS and tvOS App Store varies by country and can change without notice. If IPTV Smarters Pro doesn't appear in your search, try these alternatives: GSE Smart IPTV, Flex IPTV, or nPlayer. All support M3U playlists and work with TheStreamPlug.
