Overview

What is IPTV Smarters Pro?

IPTV Smarters Pro is a free app available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It gives you a clean, full-featured interface for watching live TV, movies, and series — making it one of the most popular choices for mobile and tablet streaming.

Once connected to TheStreamPlug, you get access to live channels, a full VOD library, series on demand, and an electronic programme guide (EPG) right on your phone or iPad.

You need an active subscription first

Step 1

Install the app

Open the App Store On your iPhone or iPad, tap the App Store icon.

Search for IPTV Smarters Pro Tap the Search tab and type IPTV Smarters Pro.

Install the app Tap Get next to IPTV Smarters Pro and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.

Open it Once installed, tap Open or find it on your home screen.
Can't find it?

If IPTV Smarters Pro doesn't appear in your App Store, try searching for IPTV Smarters — alternate versions of the app are available under slightly different names.

Open the Google Play Store On your Android phone or tablet, tap the Play Store icon.

Search for IPTV Smarters Pro Tap the search bar and type IPTV Smarters Pro.

Install the app Tap Install on the IPTV Smarters Pro listing. The download takes under a minute on most connections.

Open it Tap Open in the Play Store, or find the app in your app drawer.

Step 2

Choose a setup method

TheStreamPlug supports two ways to connect. Both work — but Xtream Codes gives you a more stable connection and access to additional features like better EPG support.

M3U URL

Paste a single URL from your welcome email. The simplest approach — good if you just want to get started quickly.

Xtream Codes API

Recommended

Log in with your username, password, and server URL. Better performance, more reliable reconnects, and full EPG support.

We recommend the Xtream Codes method

It offers the best experience — more reliable streams, faster channel loading, and full programme guide support. Use Method 1 only if you prefer a simpler one-step setup.

Method 1

Connect with M3U URL

Load playlist via M3U URL

Open the app and tap Add User When IPTV Smarters Pro opens for the first time, you'll see the Add User screen. Tap it to begin.

Select "Load your playlist or file/URL" From the login options screen, tap this option to enter a direct playlist URL.

Enter a profile name Type any name you like — for example, TheStreamPlug. This just labels the profile inside the app.

Paste your M3U URL Open your welcome email from TheStreamPlug, copy the full M3U URL, and paste it into the URL field. Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the link.

Tap Add User / Save The app will connect and begin loading your channel list. This may take 30–60 seconds on the first load.

Method 2 — Recommended

Connect with Xtream Codes API

Log in with Xtream Codes API

Open the app and tap Add User Launch IPTV Smarters Pro and tap Add User from the welcome screen.

Select "Login with Xtream Codes API" From the login options, choose the Xtream Codes option.

Enter a profile name Give your profile a name — for example, TheStreamPlug.

Enter the Server URL From your welcome email, copy the server URL. This is the base URL only — everything before the /get.php part. For example, if your M3U URL starts with http://server.example.com:8080/get.php?..., enter http://server.example.com:8080.

Enter your Username Copy the username from your welcome email and paste it exactly as shown, with no extra spaces.

Enter your Password Copy the password from your welcome email and paste it into the password field.

Tap Add User / Save The app will authenticate and load your full channel list, including live TV, movies, and series.
All three fields are in your welcome email

Check your inbox for an email from TheStreamPlug. It will contain your server URL, username, and password. If you can't find it, check your spam folder or contact support on Discord. Open a Support Ticket

Troubleshooting

Running into an issue? These are the most common problems and how to fix them.

Issue "Wrong username or password" error

Double-check your credentials against the welcome email. Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the username or password — this is the most common cause. If you copied from your email, re-type the values manually and try again.

Issue Channels won't load or are buffering

Check that your internet connection is stable. If you're using a VPN, try turning it off — some VPN servers can interfere with IPTV streams. Also try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to isolate the issue.

Issue App not found in the iOS App Store

IPTV Smarters Pro occasionally disappears from the App Store due to regional availability. Try searching for IPTV Smarters (without "Pro") — several compatible versions are available under slightly different names. Any version from the same developer will work.

Issue App crashes or freezes on launch

Force-close the app and reopen it. If the problem continues, try uninstalling and reinstalling. Your profile will need to be re-entered but your subscription and credentials don't change.

Issue EPG / programme guide is empty or not loading

The EPG can take a minute to populate after first login. Pull down to refresh the channel list, or go into the app settings and tap "Update EPG." If you connected via M3U, switching to the Xtream Codes method often resolves EPG issues.
